The polished, coppered or silvered objects are patinated (blackened) in the recesses. This only affects the areas in the depth, which are not accessible during polishing and later can not be cleaned. The natural start-up process, which is unavoidable with silver and copper, is thereby anticipated. The gilded objects remain bright everywhere. Silver-plated or copper-plated shoes or similar. are blackened inside, gold-plated inside with gold bronze, since cavities can only be coated to a certain depth
The items can also be delivered mounted on pedestal, to which in turn engraving plates can be attached. Please ask for a separate offer. The coppered and silvered items are not painted against tarnish, as must be cleaned from time to time. Expect about 3 weeks delivery time after receipt of the items with me. Engravings
The surface of electroformed coated objects can not be engraved. If engraving is desired, the only thing left to do is to make a plate that can either be fixed on the object or on a pedestal on which the object is mounted.

How it works:
First, absorbent or brittle articles are stabilized, i. impregnated with wax or synthetic resin to create a non-porous, stable surface. Next, the surface is provided with a conductive coating (e.g., conductive ink). Thereafter, a thick, stable copper layer is applied in the galvanic bath in a lengthy process, which is polishable. Then the contact wires can be removed, the contact points are serged and polished. Then the silvering or gilding followed by a finish. (Patinieren & last polish)
